    Hi Isobel,

I'm not a fan of male duets but it would be interesting to hear how Will's voice blends with Aled's.
I'd love to hear a duet of Will and Hayley Westenra (of course!). Two suggestions for this :
         - Come what May (from Moulin Rouge)
         - As long as you're mine (from Wicked)

    Hi All,

As a member of the Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir (the largest traditional MVC in the UK)  I would be delighted if Will came to sing with us.

We already have Aled Jones coming on 24 January 2009 - Cliffs Pavilion, Southend -on-Sea, Essex.

    Hi Isobel,

Cocnerning about your question, in my opinion, I think Jean-Baptiste Maunier would be a good blend for Will's dute. Well, I think Jean-Baptiste Maunier's voice is subtle and delicate and definitely high-pitched, combining with Will's powerful and solemn, it will totally create a wonderful and unique mixture of two beautiful celestial voices. Hi Robbie

That's a very good suggestion. Maunier's voice has gone some deep changes in the last couple of years though. He has grown up a lot and so has his voice so I'm not sure it's as high-pitched as it used to be when he filmed 'Les Choristes'.

    Undoubtedly, Kathrine Jenkins.

I see a word from my previous posting has been deleted.  It was not obscenity.

I meant that their singing brought tears to my eyes.

With males, I think he should duet with Josh Groban.  Josh's voice is lower and has a different feel but I think they would blend perfectly.  Lots of songs work well for male duets.  Josh recently sang with Sting in The Shape of My Heart and with Paul Simon in Bridge Over Troubled Water  (also with Brian McKnight).  Those songs would work and would lots of others,   really lots of songs make good Male/male duets with the right voices.

With females, I would like to hear him with Hayley Westerna.  I have the West Side Story album that Will sings the Jet song on and I couldn't help but think of how much better it would have been if Will had been the lead male instead of Vittorio Griggolo (just my taste).  I would love to hear them sing Tonight together.  Will would also do a lovely job singing The Prayer with someone like Emma Williams.

I also think Will's voice would also blend well with Celtic sounding singers like the members of Celtic Thunder or other singers with the Celtic sound.  He has that type of pure quality to his sound.  There are a lot of songs in that genre  that would work for Will.

                                                                         Yours, Linda Colleen

Definitely Hayley Westenra - they are both from New Zealand, both of their first albums included Hine e Hine plus a song from Lord of the Rings and...oh yeah: they're both amazing. (OK, that sounds more like an argument for them to get married...what I meant was that their voices suit very similar or the same songs). Also, neither one has a superior voice over the other, nor is one more powerful, so neither would be drowned out by the other.

As for a male duet, I agree with the Josh Groban suggestion and also think that Andrea Boccelli or Lee Mead would be good.

I think that Will would do a great job singing 'All I ask of you' from The Phantom of the Opera because of the colouring that the song needs, I think he'd do it justice! not too sure who with though, perhaps Charlotte Church, her voice isnt heard enough these days!!! failing that, I'd happily volunteer!

I would say Hayley Westenra - they both have a tenderness in their voices that would gel together. But, will it happen?

Tina Arena would be my next choice.

Any of the above would be ok, but I'd like to see him do a duet with Elizabeth Marvelly too. I'm probably biased towards the Kiwis, but somehow the two of them seem to match somehow -- in the way that Hayley Westenra and Jonathan Ansell match, for example.

Thanks to another member on these forums (Mikeyc) I have been introduced to Grace Bawden who I think would work well with Will in a duet.
